We proudly sponsor youth athletics, mission and charity work.
Professional Activities
In February 2013, The Sargent Consulting Group, LLC became a member of the Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP), a "private/public partnership of corporate and civic leaders that supports, advocates and develops programs and initiatives designed to create a clean, safe, beautiful, inviting, vibrant and economically viable Downtown Detroit community". SCG is proud to be a part of such a great community revitalization program.
The Sargent Consulting Group, LLC participated in the Illinois CPA Society's second annual CPA Day of Service. SCG facilitated a local food drive and purchased additional food stuffs for the Frankfort Food Pantry. Then, we helped serve meals and played B.I.N.G.O with the senior visitors! It was one of our best "engagements" of 2011!
Youth Athletics
SCG believes that athletics help shape our next generation of leaders.
With two young footballers (one a two-time repeat Superbowl Champion), a cheerleader and all three as soccer players, SCG has proudly sponsored youth athletics for over 4 years. As part of the Legacy Soccer and Mustang Football families, SCG supports these teams' core values: Family, Pride, Sportsmanship, Tradition, Community and Mentoring.
Mission Work
April 2013
Spring Break for three families of the United Methodist Church of New Lenox, including the Sargents, will be spent driving to the Cookson Hills United Methodist Mission Center in Oklahoma to deliver food and toys to the families of this region. Cookson Hills is a rural mission to the Cherokee Nation begun in 1948. It is the only rural mission program in the Oklahoma area and the only mission program that is a joint effort of the Oklahoma Conference, the Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference, the United Methodist Women, and the General Board of Global Ministries.
November 2012
Managing Member Brad Sargent traveled to Cookson Hills, OK with family and members of the UMCNL to deliver Christmas gifts and dinner to families in need. Please see http://www.umcnl.com for more information on donating to this wonderful cause.
June 2012
SCG sponsored the youth of The United Methodist Church of New Lenox in their drive to collect shoes for the non-profit organization, Share Your Soles by financially matching $.25 per pair of shoes donated. Share Your Soles has brought tens of thousands of pairs of shoes to desperately impoverished people throughout the world in Central America, Southeast Asia, Appalachia and limitless other areas in need.
UMCNL's youth also packaged food in Aurora, IL in a collaborative mission effort to "Feed My Starving Children", a Christian organization committed to the elimination of starvation in children throughout the world.
