October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Officially first observed in October 1987, it evolved from the first Day of Unity observed in October 1981. Per the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the intent was to connect battered women's advocates across the nation who were working to end violence against women and their children. The Day of Unity is celebrated the first Monday in October, but we encourage everyone to speak up, stand up and raise public awareness of domestic violence in your community every day.
CPA Day of Service

As a result, we met more fantastic students and faculty, saw more of the campus and witnessed more in-depth and first-hand the benefits the Academy provides. Check out our pictures from this year and last year and see how you can get involved, too!
