On October 28, 2014, Brad will moderate the Forensic Accounting in Criminal Investigations Panel at the 2014 Illinois CPA Society Fraud & Forensic Symposium.Hear former government attorneys discuss working with forensic accountants in criminal investigations, learn how evidence handling and proof of liability vary when comparing civil matters to criminal matters and earn CLE and CPE in the process.

CPA Day of Service
Last year we volunteered at Glenwood Academy for the ICPAS Day of Service and witnessed first-hand the benefits the academy provides its students. We are fortunate enough to volunteer again (and do whatever is needed at the academy) for this year's "Day of Giving" on September 19, 2014. Check back for pictures!
Suicide Prevention: One World Connected
The recent death of Robin Williams has heightened the world's awareness of suicide. As a firm, we will participate in World Suicide Prevention Day and light a candle on September 10 to remember the loved ones we lost to suicide and show support to the survivors.
SCG Celebrates 5 Years of Service
As we continue in our sixth year in business and plan for the next 20, The Sargent Consulting Group, LLC thanks our clients for their continued support. SCG celebrated this milestone both in Detroit and Chicago with a bocce tournament and Masters' themed cocktail party respectively.
After our celebration in Chicago, SCG awarded two golf umbrellas to Leigh Roadman from Martin, Brown, Sullivan, Roadman & Hartnett, Ltd. for winning both our Hole-In-One and Lowest Overall Score contests. Congratulations Leigh!

Guest lectured at Northern Illinois University on fraud and forensics.
Presented to Hodges, Loizzi, Eisenhammer, Rodick & Kohn's Litigation Practice Group on Damage Calculation; specifically the various bases for a damage calculation, discovery issues (getting the right documents), investigative techniques and how to work effectively with an expert.
Golfed in this year's Annual Golf Classic charity golf outing with all proceeds going towards Life Directions. Life Directions' mission is to motivate young adults ages 13-35 especially the economically poor and at-risk, into mature and responsible productive adults through self-direction.

On Friday, September 19, Brad and Michelle will attend the University of Illinois at Chicago's "Celebrating the CBA" dinner where Brad will share his personal “donor perspective” on why as an alum he gives his time and financial support.
